Need training to qualify for manufacturing jobs? Full scholarships are available for the Certified Production Technician Program and the Production Associate Program taught by Ivy Tech Community College. 

 

This comprehensive credential opens doors for employment at several area industries. You'll learn about manufacturing processes, equipment, safety, leadership, quality, and today's latest technologies. 

 

This certification is a nationally recognized manufacturing credential issued by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council

How Do I Qualify? 

To qualify for the training program applicants must: 

 

  • Be a minimum age of 18.

  • Complete WorkKeys testing: Reading for Information, Locating Information, Observation, and Applied Mathematics. Free testing available through WorkOne. 

  • Pass a drug screening. 

  • Participate in a personal interview. 

What's Involved? 

The program includes: 

 

  • Safety; Quality and Measurement; Manufacturing and Production; and Maintenance Awareness 

  • Field trips to area manufacturers to give students an up-close look at the work environment, products made, and types of jobs.
